All of the leaves I use are collected locally in the Denver, Colorado area.

Painting on leaves is a long process. They must be preserved; this part of the process can take up to 60 days or more.  Then they are sprayed on both sides with 2 coats of acrylic. After they dry, they can be painted.   The leaves are still very delicate and can be damaged very easily. It can be a frustrating event until you learn the feel of applying the paint. All finished paintings are mounted on background paper, matted and framed.  This process is very rewarding and I hope you will find my painting to your liking.
